Event Date:

Town Hall

Last night, Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, the RTM Parks and Recreation Committee took up Item # 9 on the September RTM Call

Horst Tebbe was present to be interviewed by the committee for the appointment to the position of Ex-Officio Member of the Harbor Management Committee.

Horst brings much relevant experience with him. He has been a resident of Greenwich for 40 years and joined the RTM in District 6 last March to fill a vacancy. He has
spent his entire life on the waterfront - born in Hamburg and grew up on the Jersey Shore when he came to the US at the age of 11. Horst belonged to
OGYC and now belongs to Riverside YC where he served on the Board and still is active on the Race Committee. He has been involved in big boat racing - running races for major regattas.

Professionally, he is a "tech" person. He retired in 2002 after serving as a business development officer for several major corporations such as Bell Labs, Kraft, Pepsico, etc.

His other volunteer work includes the Retired Men's Association, the Town cable television channel (GCTV) and former President of the Lucas Point Association.

As a part of his role in the Harbor Management Commission, Horst is interested in seeing the Harbor Master have a good working relationship with the Town so that important and necessary projects such as dredging can be accomplished effectively.

VOTE: 8-0-0 with Districts 5, 9, 11, 12 absent and alternates representing Districts 1 and 7.
